The event is based on the principal of semi autonomy.

The event will take place in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, in the Argentinian Patagonia. It will be staged at the “End of The World”, in one of the wildest places on earth, filled with valleys, high mountains and lagoon systems interconnected by rivers that flow into the Beagle Channel (where the two oceans mix). Ushuaia is so close to the Antarctica that the climate is very similar to that in the Alps at 3,000 meters high. In fact, you can even get to experience the 4 seasons of the year in a single day. Temperatures during daytime may reach 11°C in the valleys. In the mountains, where most of the trail is located, they are much lower and, especially at night, temperatures may drop below freezing, so runners will need to equip accordingly. At times, the temperature in the mountains can be below -10 ° C (especially at night) and extreme winds can reach 80 km / h. Given the trail’s remote and difficult to access sections, a real capacity for personal self-sufficiency is required. In short, it will be a very technical trail, with big “ups and downs”, diverse geographies, changing landscapes and an oscillating climate.
